Step 1: Book a combined bus and ferry ticket from Bangkok to Koh Chang

You must book your ticket at least one day in advance. This ticket includes the bus, ferry, and transfer to your accommodation on Koh Chang. You can check and book tickets via our website.

Step 2: Check-in for your bus trip to Ao Thammachat Ferry Pier, Trat Province

Check in with your booking confirmation at least 30 minutes before departure to avoid missing the bus. The details are as follows:

  • Check-in location: Boonsiri office on Tanee Road, near Khao San Road

Upon arrival at Ao Thammachat Ferry Pier, staff will assist you with the ferry ticket as you prepare to board the ferry to Koh Chang. Details are as follows:

• Travel time: The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes to reach Koh Chang.
• Ferry schedule: Ferries depart every hour, depending on your arrival time at the pier.
• Ferry details: A large ferry with 300 seats, accommodating around 40 cars, no air-conditioned area, two bathrooms, and a small snack bar.

Step 4: Transfer from Koh Chang Pier to your resort

Upon arrival at Koh Chang Pier, a vehicle will be arranged to take you to your designated resort as per the booking details.

Private Travel Option

You can also hire a private van for a more personal journey from Bangkok to Koh Chang. The travel time from Bangkok to the pier is around 5–6 hours. The private van will board the ferry at Ao Thammachat Pier without needing to unload luggage, as it stays in the van. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes, and upon arrival on Koh Chang, the van will drop you directly at your resort. This option offers privacy and flexibility in choosing your travel time.
